Smooth Muscle Myosin is a structural protein in the cytoplasm of smooth muscle cells, which is related to the contractile function of smooth muscle. The positive expression of vascular and visceral smooth muscle and myoepithelial cells can be used for the diagnosis of smooth muscle tumors, and can also be used for the detection of breast myoepithelial cells, which is helpful for the differentiation of breast carcinoma in situ and invasive carcinoma.
Somatostatin is a polypeptide hormone secreted by islet D cells. It is mainly used in the functional classification of islet cells and the study of endocrine cells and tumors in gastrointestinal mucosa.
SOX10 protein is widely expressed in normal human tissues, including melanocytes and breast tissue. SOX10 is expressed in almost all nevi and malignant melanomas, including 97-100% of fibroproliferative and spindle cell melanomas, schwannomas, neurofibromas, and granular cell tumors. SOX10 is also expressed in most oligodendrogliomas, astrocytomas, and glioblastomas. SOX10 can be used in combination with other antibodies for the diagnosis of malignant schwannoma and melanocytoma.
