PSA is a kind of glycoprotein synthesized by prostatic epithelial cells. At present, it is considered to be one of the specific tumor markers, which is mainly used in the judging of prostate cancer and metastatic prostate cancer, but it can not be used as the differential judging of benign and malignant prostate diseases. Because, the vast majority of prostatic hyperplasia epithelium are positive.
Prostate acid phosphatase (PSAP) is an enzyme with a molecular weight of 52 kDa secreted by prostate epithelial cells, which is expressed in epithelial cells and secretion of prostate tissue, and strongly in primary and metastatic prostate cancer. It is mainly used to mark primary and metastatic prostate cancer.
Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen(PSMA) is a 110kDa type II transmembrane protein. The gene is located at 11q, which is highly expressed in the normal and malignant prostate secretory acinar epithelium, and also in some benign epithelial cells of breast, duodenum and kidney. At present, PSMA is considered to be a specific marker of prostate cancer.
