ZNF289 (zinc finger protein 289), also known as ARFGAP2 (ADP-ribosylation factor GTPase activating protein 2), IRZ, Zfp289 or Nbla10535, functions as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for ARF family proteins. Localizing to the cytoplasmic side of the Golgi apparatus, ZNF289 contains one ARF-GAP domain and is found associated with COP-I-coated vesicles.

A synthesized peptide derived from human ARFGEF1.
A synthesized peptide derived from human ARFGEF2, corresponding to a region within N-terminal amino acids.
A synthesized peptide derived from human ARFIP1, corresponding to a region within the internal amino acids.
A synthesized peptide derived from human ARFRP1, corresponding to a region within the internal amino acids.
The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane-associated GTP-ase which localizes to the plasma membrane and is related to the ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) and ARF-like (ARL) proteins. This gene plays a role in membrane trafficking between the trans-Golgi network and endosomes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
